How Can Severe Pain From The Lower Ribcage To The Back Be Treated?
I have had a pain in my left lateral side since the fall. I saw my Dr and they ran a ct w/oil contrast due to my severe aniphalatictic issues with shrimp and other s hell fish. I will tell you I have been a X-ray tuck,ct tech, us tech and mammographer so I am familiar with a lot of health issues. The ct was non eventful but my left side pain runs from my lower ribs and to my back. I don’t have a go and have had gasric bypass 13 yrs ago. Some days it’s worse than others but today it was really bothersome. The air felt thicker and I had to stop and catch my breath a few times. I don’t think it’s a clot but it feels like either my colon at the splenic flexture is having issues or my lung is.. I have osteoarthritis in both legs and both were replaced. One 4 yrs ago the other 2 yrs ago. I have Sjogrens and Rynads. I have severinsomnia a at time go with maybe 1 hr sleep for 5 days. Any ideas what it could be. Btw I’m a 56 yr female. In the last month I have started coughing a lot and having many episodes of sneezing.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
This intense pain after a history of fall indicates muscular, ligament stretch or nerve compression related issue. Primary relief with heating pad application, physiotherapy, and good analgesic coverage will solve the issue.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
