Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my husband got a Pneumococcal 13-valve Conjugate Prevnar 13 shot almost a year ago and still has pain that shoots down his arm to his elbow. He has trouble sleeping because it wakes him up. He talked to his doc about it but they said it was probably arthritis. Any suggestions on what he can do to stop this pain?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Paracetamol, an NSAID and/or paracetamol in a combination product with a weak opioid such as Tramadol, may provide greater relief than their separate use. Also a combination of opioid with acetaminophen can be frequently used such as Percocet, Vicodin.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
