How Can Severe Pain In The Back And Hip Be Treated?

My bff is on oxycontin 80s but she is also disabled and takes them for severe back and hip pain. She has had the same pain specialist for 3 yrs. Does she have to go 40 miles in person to get her scripts or can her doctor call them in? She can t drive and is finding it hard to get there!

Oxycontin belongs to a group of drugs called opioids. Opioids need a prescription from the doctor since these drugs cannot be taken as over the counter drugs.
