Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have been on naproxen and gabapentin for a week for back pain, yesterday my doctor prescribed tramadol and diazepam to take with the naproxen but to stop taking the gabapentin as its not working,I am not sure which is the best way to take them as to get the most effective way of pain relief and not sure which ones to take together and when .i have been on all these medications before a few years ago before I had a back operation .
I think you should do an x-ray to check for reasons of your conditions. Probably prednisone injections can work to lower inflammation. Also, you should continue naproxen and gabapentin for pain.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
