Hi,

Without an examination, I don't know if the pain your experiencing is related to the chest wall injury or your heart. Usually sharp pain is musculoskeletal while pressure type pain is from the heart.

It's also possible you have an arrythmia (irregular heart beat) from the injury or from withdrawal of the opiates. For the sharp pain, you can try an NSAID such as ibuprofen. Be sure to eat something first as NSAIDs can cause stomach irritation, which can also give the symptom of chest pain.

However, if you are having persistent abnormal heart rate/rhythm, are having light headedness, chest pressure type pain, or worsening of symptoms, then you really must see a doctor in person.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
