How Can Severe Pain In The Hips And Legs Be Treated?

My wife has a gluteus maximus muscle tear. We have struggled finding anyone that can help her. She has a huge dent in the upper area of her right buttocks. It s not the medius. She fell on it about 6 months ago and is starting to have pain in her hip and legs associated with it. We need someone that can help us. The doctors have diagnosed the tear in the maximus muscle but are telling us there s nothing they can do. I fail to believe this. Meanwhile, it s getting worse. Suggestions or help?

Hello,

Is the tear in the muscle or its tendon? If pain is due to rupture of Gluteus medius may repaired by reconstruct ion and maximus tendon transfer.

If it is maximus, then severely damage need to repair surgically. Please consult your orthopedician he will examine and treat her accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
