How Can Severe Pain In The Hips Be Treated?

I injured my hip lifting something heavy. It is painful and aches, throbs. This was 10 days ago. Now my top thigh, knee and right top of my calf is burning - like a sunburn. Sometimes it burns badly - others mildly. I went to the doctor yesterday and he thinks it may be my bursae (sp?) It has improved from horrible pain to manageable pain except for the burning in my knee area. Your opinion?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Since your symptoms are seen after heavy weight lifting, possibility of muscular injury is more likely in your case.
Best treatment for muscular injury is immobilization, crepe bandage and anti inflammatory drugs.
So avoid mobilization, take proper rest.
Apply ice of affected areas.. Take paracetamol, Diclofenac and serratiopeptidase combination.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these in 2-3 weeks.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further .Wish you good health. Thanks
