How Can Severe Pain In The Hips Be Treated?

I just had a hip replacement surgery this past Monday and ran out of the pain medicine (Oxcedodiacetamin 325 mg). I can refill it later today but am in significant pain and can t sleep. Until around 10-11:00 am this morning (when I think I can refill), can I safely take ibuprofen to help with the pain?
