How Can Severe Pain In The Joints Be Treated?

Why my joints are in pain so much? ! m taking Entresto, Spironolactone,Digonix, Asapin and other medicine to control my heart rates and blood pressures. Is any of these medication cause my joints so painful? And I also have Gout. I took Gout medicine and none is working. What should I do?

Hello,

Aspirin can cause hyperuricemia. So in the context of gout, I would suggest stopping this. There is also some concern that spironolactone may also increase this so you call and check with your doctor if any alternative to these drugs can be given. A check your uric acid level; if it's high then probably this is the cause and you need to focus on this, i.e. stop Aspirin, avoid prolonged fasting and avoid foods high in urate especially seafood. You can also talk to your doctor to increase the dose of your gout drugs if it's still elevated and also to check for other possible reasons of high rate. However, if urate is normal and if indicated, they must also consider other causes of joint pain. There are a lot of other causes that can give you joint pain, so this can also be discussed.
