How Can Severe Pain In The Left Knee Be Treated?

I have pain in my left knee where sometimes I can hardly walk. The pain radiate from the back of the knee to sometimes mainly on the right side of the knee. Sometimes the front part of the knee will hurt bad if I move it the wrong way. I had an X-ray of the knee a week ago. There are no spurs and the knee is intact, and there is no fluid in the knee,. An MRI was suggested if pain remains a week or two later. I am now considering that. About 3 weeks ago I may have injured it when I caught my right foot in a child swing gate steeping through it and it through me down and I landed on my left knee to catch myself and right wrist. I did not notice an injury at the time, because my worst injury was to my right ankle and lower left leg which was bruised . The knee on the left did not bother me until about almost 2 weeks later.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can take Tramadol and Paracetamol combination 2 times a day for 5 days. Take Omeprazole twice a day for 5 days. Take Serratiopeptidase and Aceclofenac combination twice a day for 5 days. Apply hot water bag on affected site. Apply Diclofenac spray at pain site, if not resolved then consult your orthopedic surgeon, get a CT scan and MRI done, if he advises.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
