How Can Severe Pain In The Right Shoulder Be Treated?

Hi, my name is Linda. I have a impingment of the right shoulder that is extremly painful as well as a bad SI joint on the right side as well as AVN of left leg and alklosising spondilitis. I have also had my right leg amputated above the knee In April 2017 I am on oral diluid which helps some and try to take NSAIDs orally but they are tearing my stomach up within minutes after taking it. But due to the large amount of pain and inflamation in my body I feel I really need the anit inflamatory. So Iam wondering if there was a self injecting Anti inflamatory that I could use to bi pass the stomach. I am also enbrel for the arthritis.

Hi,

You should take PPI or H2 receptor blockers to protect your stomach from the effects of these anti inflammatory drugs. Take these drugs continuously with a break of a week in a month because in your illness you need to take pain killers daily, so the best way is to use these stomach protective drugs. Almost every painkiller, whether IV or oral has effects on stomach, so go for drugs like Omeprazole or Ranulcid to protect your stomach.
