How Can Severe Pain In The Shoulder Be Treated?

I have excruciating right shoulder tip pain my doctor said that there was nothing on my xray , so it must be arthritis. She told me to take tylenol which does nothing for my pain, after about 3 hours I wake up in pain I do have carpal tunnel syndrome in that wrist which dosen t compare to this pain. It feels like my shoulder is burning and pulling apart. The pain patches help for a while, better than tylenol. Could this be a musculo skeletal problem, should I seek another doctor?

Hello,

Frozen shoulder can also have this kind of symptoms and nothing comes in the X-ray as well.

I think you need to go orthopedic for this and they do a procedure called shoulder release and steroid infiltration where they infiltrate the steroid and restore you the range of movements needed.

So, I think that procedure will help you treat your symptoms. Even get your carpal tunnel syndrome treated, so that it should not cause you more complication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
