How Can Severe Pain In The Shoulders Be Treated?

Hi I am a healthy 53 yr old woman. No joint issues back pain etc. I injured my shoulders and had surgery on the right because I torn the labrum and it went frozen I am still having pain everyday a chronic pain issue, I control with hydromorphone 4 MG 2 every 4 hrs up to 10 a day. My Dr would like me to go to a shot clinic. I am controlling my pain with the medication. And am concerned about cortizone shots I know shot are temporary. I would like your opinion my other arm is a problem as well.

Hello,

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI to rule out Lupe tendon involvement.
