How Can Severe Pain In The Tail Bone Due To An Injury Be Treated?

Good afternoon Dr. Ryan, I fell on this past Sunday and I think I hurt my tail bone, however I have no bruises. I have bad pain after sitting and a hard time getting up and lying in the bed and getting in and out of the car, The day I fell I started using ice and I am alternating with heat and I have taken IB profane 800. Should I do or have done something differently. My job is to sit a computer, what should I do?:( Thank you, Cathy

Hello,

Based on your history, I think you should do an X-ray of this area and meet a neurologist or orthopedist. During this time you should continue to use Ibuprofen in order to relieve your pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Monika Dede,
