How Can Severe Pain In The Upper Back Be Treated?

I fell down the stairs and landed on my back upper left side. Now hurts to move and somewhat breath and laugh. Not horrible but there. If I turn a certain way the pain is terrible. Should I seek medical advice? I feel like I Could wait it out and see what happens.

Hi

I am glad we connected. Thanks for writing to HCM.

Many people may notice upper back pain when one has acidity, ulcers, or with some muscle strain.

Icing the area, massaging the back pain, and getting lots of rest can help as well.

In case, there is some nausea, burning pain in the upper chest, the pain may be seen with acidity. Many people may find taking over the counter antacids useful for this.

In case the symptoms persist, getting a check up would be a good idea. I hope this helps. All the best!
