How Can Severe Pain While Suffering From Kidney Disease Be Treated?

Hi, my doctor left the practice 2 months ago, and I haven t been able to find a pain management. I m a 60yr old man who has been taking 10/325 hydro odone for the past 12 yrs. Also I am go through withdrawal s from not having what my body has been use to over the yrs. Any advice you can give is appreciated. I am in pain constantly, I have had a heart attack in 07, and shortly after that I was diagnosed with stage3 kidney disease!! So much pain. HELP

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Sorry to hear of the trouble you have been through. Pain with kidney disease should initially be tried with over the counter Paracetamol taken regularly if needed, however if that is not effective, then probably you would need opioids for it, its safe in kidney disease. NSAIDS like Ibuprofen should be avoided in kidney disease.
