How Can Severe Panic Attack Be Treated?

I have severe panic attacks that started in 1992. Now they are more severe after going through 6 back surgeries. I have no balance. I feel like I am walking on the bones of my feet. I have to walk with a walker. I got hurt on the job from 32 years of telephone work and had cartel tunnel in both hands. My panic comes from the fear of falling and major depression. I take 1 mg. Of xanax 3 a day. I was on 1 mg 4 x day but this doctor has changed it. I use to take visceral. How many milligrams and how many times a day would you recommend? Last time I had an attach the firemen had to break in because I can t move when I have a attack.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* Severe panic attack require intravenous sedative when symptomatic severity is to extreme.
* Moderate symptoms can be well managed with anti psychotic drugs, mood elevators, psychology counselling, behavior therapy, relaxation
techniques, YOGA.
* The dose of Xanax currently consumed is perfect 3 times a day, an addition of another molecule to relieve the anxiety is recommended from my side. I would like to admire your further doubts anytime.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
