How Can Severe Sciatic Pain Be Treated?

I suffer from the following ailments: Medullary Sponge kidney (around 100 stones in 37 years), Interstitial Cystitis, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, sciatica (at times), anxiety, depression, heart attack 7 years ago, advanced carpal tunnel x 2 hands, vulvodynia, chronic fatigue syndrome. So, you can see, I ve had a rough time most of my life with massive, excruciating pain. I have seen pain management doctors for many years. Currently prescribed 120 mg. Morphine and 45 mg. Oxycodone. Finally, my question. Can a urine test come up negative for the Oxycodone metabolite for a patient with Medullary Sponge Kidney isease? I have no money as I am disabled and on Medicare.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

According to my surgical experience, there is compromised clearance of metabolites of various drugs in distal collecting ducts of a patient with medullary sponge kidney disease, but not necessarily it makes urine test negative of Oxycodone metabolites.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
