How Can Severe Swelling In The Hands And Legs Be Treated?

My dad had his gull bladder removed and because of complications from an infection was on a ventilator for five days in intensive care. The swelling and hardness in his hands and legs is so severe now he can no longer walk or feed himself. I feel he is not getting the proper care,

Hi. First we need to know the reason for his swelling. It can be multiple causes like just a simple reactive swelling as he was hospitalized for long, mild cardic issue, renal issue and so on. Hope all that wld have evaluted in the ICU stay. He needs follow up from the physician. monitor with complete blood counts, urea and creatinine levels in the blood. This problem will slowly settle down. Hope this is help full. thank U
