How Can Sinusitis Along With Cough And Sore Throat Be Treated?

I was treated for sinus infection and am done with the Rx. I m still coughing, phlemmy, and have a mild sore throat that gets very dry and a bit hard to swallow. I looked in my throat with a flashlight and now I see red spots on the back of my pallet and on my throat. Do I need to see the Dr. again? Might I be contagious? YYYY@YYYY

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Persistence of symptoms indicate, there is existing infection involving upper respiratory tract.

Do not consider that therapy is over, consult your doc again and get prescription of necessary antibiotic, decongestant, cough formulas.

Till that time, continue gargles with salted lukewarm water.

Maintain hydration with more liquids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
