Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can Sinusitis Along With Post Nasal Drip Be Treated?
Had cold and went into a serious sinus infection and cough. Has been going on five weeks now, and still have drainage and plunged nose some. And cough. Losing voice toward end of day. Had chest X-ray , ok. Took nine days of augmentin. Now just finished zpack. And delsyum for cough.
Get X-Ray (PNS) done to get evaluated about the seriousness of the disease. Since you have difficulty in speaking, you need to be physically examined. Get sputum culture tests done. You need voice rest & antibiotics. Take antihistamines, acetaminophen, decongestants & Doxycycline under a physician.
Nasal irrigation, warm compress & steam inhalation are effective.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
