How Can Sinusitis Along With Post Nasal Drip Be Treated?

Hi. I have had a combination of sinus infection, tonsil stones, and post-nasal drip for over two (almost three) years. The reason this was not dealt with properly because I have very limited funds and my three appointments with doctors who did basically nothing depleted me. Anyway, I started taking antibiotics 3 days ago. How do I know if it s actually working?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can't take antibiotics without medical guidance. In many cases, sinus symptoms are the result of allergy and require no antibiotics. Another important point, the doctors would be able to select the most appropriate antibiotic to fight your infection in case of bacterial sinusitis.

At the moment, you have to consult an ENT doctor to examine you and prescribe the suitable treatment for your condition.

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.
