How Can Sinusitis And Breathing Difficulty Be Treated?

I take warfarin and other blood-thinning products every day. I now have a full blown sinus infection causing difficult breathing, lung congestion, sinus drainage, etc. I also have COPD. A Walmart pharmacist recommended I take Mucinex sinus-max liquid because it is safe and poses no interruption with my blood thinners. Is this correct?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

As per your query you have symptoms of sinusitis and breathing difficulty in which lining gets inflamed and if the sinus become inflamed and produce mucus due to which there is difficulty in breathing and blockage. I would suggest you to first of all consult ENT specialist for proper treatment of sinusitis, as infection will lower your immunity. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics (amoxicillin) for at least 10 days. take combination of decongestants and nasal sprays. Go for steam inhalation as that is best remedy. Drink hot milk with half tea spoon of turmeric powder. Do warm saline gargles.
