Dear Patient,
First of all thankyou for choosing our Healthcaremagic to ask for advice.
I read your concern, and I will explain in details what you have to do.
Your symptoms are related to what in Medicine is known as Gastro Esophageal Reflux, that means that in many people around the World, for some anatomical, dietical reasons the acid fluid of the stomac (that usually dissolves our food), is returned upward from the stomac to esophag, and from it to the pharingus and then to mouth. There is an anatomical point when pharingus is branched in laring and esophag, so the fluid that comes upwards from esophag may enter into laring and from it into the lungs. So, in short terms what gets back from the stomac fills your mouth with the bleach taste fluid and inflames your pulmones (lungs) producing more mucus or more
cough.
I want to explain that this is a very common disorder and what you need to do to stop it, is:
Do not eat abondandly, please eat many times per day a little per meal, (in this way the stomac would not overfull and the acid fluid will not get backwards).
Sleep with a big pillow (this will help the acid fluid to remain down per gravity).
Do not eat chocolate, or big protein meals.
Avoid, please cigarettes or alcohol ( in case you use them).
Get Omeprazol 20 mg (2 times per day)
Get Malox (or other bicarbonate salts, to make alkaline your acid fluid and help reduce it)
Make some sport sometimes, and if the situation gets very upsetting, visit a gastroenterologist to have a gastroscopia.
I hope that with my advices, you will get much better.
Respect,
Dr. Eni Manoku
