How Can Sinusitis And Headaches Be Treated?

I recently had a tooth extracted that was the source of many sinus infections and 2 sinus surgeries in the last year. There was a large hole left from the extraction and it connects my sinus passage to my mouth. Last Wednesday the dentist who preformed the extraction closed the hole (mostly) and since then I have been having terrible sinus headaches and more alarmingly when I tilt my head down or bend over I am overcome with a nauseating smell and yellow discharge from my nose. It is obviously infected again. When I blow my nose some of the infection seeps thru the hole in my jaw and into my mouth and tastes awful. I was prescribed an anti-fungal as well as antibiotics yesterday by my ENT doc. Is there anything else I can do to get rid of the infection faster?

Hi,

You also can use anti-inflammatory drugs with the antibiotics like Ibuprofen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
