on occasion sometimes during the day and sometimes during the night, I have severe to moderated nasal pain which is also causing in my inner ear and teeth to ach. I have been taking an antibiotic as well as over the counter medicine such as bc power with an antihistamine for pain, and warm towels applied over my face. nothing is helping... Would there be anything that can help with the inflammation, pain, and swelling of this sinus infection?
Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern. Some advices that I can give to you are : 1)Place warm, damp towels around your nose, cheeks and eyes to ease facial pain. Rinse out your nasal passages. 2)Use a specially designed squeeze bottle;saline canister, to rinse your nasal passages. This home remedy, called nasal lavage, can help clear your sinuses. 3)Use antibiotic.For acute sinusitis, you typically take them for 10-14 days.
