How Can Skin Allergy On The Lower Legs Be Treated?

My wife has a skin reaction on lower legs in the calf area. It looks like an allergic reaction. Today, she had green tea which she had not had previously. However, yesterday she did a lot of yard work. Would an allergic reaction have to been from something today, or could yesterdays yard work cause a reaction (skin hives) which did not show up until today?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,my name is dr.Dorina Gurabardhi.I understand your concern.
A leg rash is an inflammatory reaction of the skin on the legs that may extend to the feet.
Some advices that I can give to you are:
-take antihistamines to relieve the symptoms
-Apply cool compresses or wet cloths to the affected areas.
-Try to work and sleep in a cool room.
-Wear loose-fitting lightweight clothes.
-use calmine lotion to relieve the itching
Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other question Ill be glad to help.
