How Can Skin Infection On The Lower Right Leg Be Treated?

There were two surgical wounds about 1 year old). I experienced dehecision on my face that has finally healed but the other incision on my side seems to have developed a pocket that I can push pus out of. My lower right leg has been aching at an old wound site and is now hurting lower on my shin wrapping around my calf. It is red and warm to the touch. I have other sores, rashes and patches all over my body. My doctor told me to see a dermatologist, which I did. But she will only look at one thing per appointment about a month apart. This is not helping me, as what I believe is an advancing skin infection is accelerating. What is the best type of doctor to see to solve all of these issues at roughly the same time to stop the advance of this problem?

dear user

some times surgical site infection occur after ayear as it affect deep facia or muscle layer ...the old wound you have was deep to get surgical site infection...so ointments will not help as it is not superficial wound ..you need to do wound biopsy to detect type of infection and micro organism ..or simply you can administer antibiotics oral or injection as for seven days and improvement will occur ..we prefer amoxicillin&clavulinic acid antibiotic as it is effective in your case or prefer do biopsy examination and wound culture for treatment...dont be worry of that just follow these simple steps and you will be ok

wish you healthy life
