Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m a 29yr old male diagnosed with severe sleep apnea... I have been going bald since I was about 21... I have been using a CPAP machine for close to 3 months and it seems I have quite a bit of hair growing back where I was going bald. Can being on CPAP machine cause some sort reverse in the balding process? Or is it all in my head? I need to know if my excitement is for a good reason or for no reason...
No, growing hair has nothing to do with CPAP machine use. So your regaining of hair is not due to starting CPAP machine. This is mostly due to something else. Better to consult endocrinologist and get done detailed hormone levels to identify cause.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar,
