How Can Sore Throat And Cough Be Treated?

I have a client, I m a new nurse, and he would like something for his cough and sore throat. I really like for myself when I am sick, NyQuil. He takes 150 mg patches Fentanyl, cymbalta 20 mg QD, Flexeril 10 ML X3 QD, Flomax .4 mg 1 tab QD, Pmeprazole 10 Mg QD, Fosamax 70 MG 1 tab q week, Lipitor, colace, Lortab 5/325 1 tab q 6 hrs, YYYY@YYYY

The treatment of a sore throat depends of the cause, if the cause is bacterial, then he needs to get antibiotics; if it is viral It will be self-limited. Other causes can be acid reflux disease which can explain the sore throat and the cough.
