How Can Sore Throat, Headache And Dizziness Be Treated?
My dr, says I have sinusitus- but I m not sure.I have a bad sore throat, constant headache, and am dizzy a lot. I am allergic to most antibiotics--he said he would prescribe one but didn t because he didn t know what to give me. I have had this for nearly a month and thought it was just a cold. Have a dry cough, but the sore throat is the worst symptom. What should I do?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have a sore throat with headaches and dizziness well these symptoms are due to sinusitis and upper respiratory tract infection. I would suggest you do warm saline gargles 2-3 times a day. You should take steam inhalation twice a day. Take paracetamol for fever and headache. Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis. The doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxiclav at least for 10 days along with a decongestant. The doctor may order a test like a swab test, blood test, and viral culture test to rule out a condition like acid reflux and strep throat. Maintain proper hygiene and drink plenty of fluids. Take tepid sponging if it is a severe headache.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
