Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had an ingrown toenail removed about 4 weeks ago. The practioner swabbed it and it came back staph I took around of Cipro and the toe seemed to get better, but my toe is still very very se sitive . Its not red and no drainage but still sensitive. Could there still be staff?
As you already took antibiotic tablet ciprofloxacin and now no discharge, it's a good sign. Complete the course of the antibiotic. The sensitivity of toe will recover within the next four to five days. Do regular dressing. Keep that part clean. Use Neosporin H powder locally. You can take tablet aceclofenac for pain. I will suggest you review here with detailed history or consult with the surgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Shyam B. Kale
