How Can Start Of A Menstruation In Water Be Handled?
Hey, my period normally starts in the late night or sometime in the morning, my period still isn't regular but i know its coming soon. i've been getting my period for about a year. i know we're not supposed to use a tampon with out your period, i have swim practices every morning, most of the time, I'm not really swimming but sitting and waitng for the rest of my lane to come, what will happen if i get my period in the water, and what should i do!!
there isn't actually any medical consequence per se. The problem rather is more of a hygienic one. There should be sanitory pads that could be used and if you do not have any, you definitely would not have to stay in the water while you are having your periods.
Best regards

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. The solution for your problem is using a tampon. You can insert a tampon in advance at times when you expect menses. You can remove it when you are out of water. If you going for a competition then you can delay your menses by taking hormonal drugs also. Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further queries.
