How Can Stiff And Painful Left Shoulder Be Treated?

stiff and painful left shoulder that gets worse in the evening. At first thought I had slept on it wrong but it has been over a month and still the same. Also starting taking Eliquis and a blood pressure medication around the same time this pain started.

Hello,

The stiff and painful left shoulder persisting for one month now could be related to :

- instability of the joint
- tendon inflammation
- arthritis should be also considered

I think you should run an x-ray of the shoulder joint. As you have started high blood pressure medication around the same time the pain started together with Eliquis.

I advise getting your cardiovascular system re-evaluated to rule out possible cardiovascular event. Meanwhile, try to avoid movements of the shoulder joint. Apply analgesic cream locally.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
