my husband having stiff neck , what best medicine to cure him?

never apply any analgesic oinment. during stiffness-- cervival collar .. with tab acelofenac+paracetamol+chloroxazone twice daily and tab tramadol only once at night after dinner. once symtoms subsides.. let get an x-ray of cervical spine to rule out spondylosis.

Rule out cervical spondilitis,
Take analgesic and muscle relaxant medicines,
Do hot fomentation and apply local analgesic cream.
Give rest to neck for few days and afterward gradual neck exercise.
