How Can Stiffness In The Body While On Prednisone Be Treated?

I m taking 10 mg of prednasone one daily also 200mg of hydroxychloroquine twice a day for PMR wake up around 3am almost everyday and I m starting my stiffness , Dr starting to wean my off prednasone was taking 15mg. Takes about 3hrs in the morning to take affect and stifness to go away. You have solution?

Prednisone may give muscke weaknes,muscle wasting or tenderness.There is no evidenced interaction between prednisone and hydroxychloroquine so I think is something right to try lowering prednisone dose to see if it will have the desired effect. However, PMR itself gives the morning stiffness so be patient till the drugs have done their effects.
