How Can Stiffness In The Wrist Be Treated?

Hi, I had surgery on a bone spur on my left wrist in August; I also had RA. The doctor did a procedure to pull my tendons around the bone and tie it off. I followed up with physical therapy. I have recovered almost total use of my wrist and thumb, however, my left thumb is still numb. It feels stiff and sometimes I don t have good grip with my left thumb. I m wondering if I have nerve damage and if I will ever recover full feeling and use. I really don t want to undergo another surgery. What do you suggest?

Hi

Greetings from HealthcareMagic!

Reason for numbness is usually because of nerve injury and it can lead to loose grips. You can undergo nerve conduction studies to rule out nerve injury and further treatment .
