Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had the flu for a week or so since two days after Christmas. I thought it would be 100% gone by now but whenever I eat I get stomach aches and cramps a few hours later. I ve recently discovered I night not be getting my vitamins so I started having the gummies and instead of not eating I am drinking meal replacements. Will I be okay? I m 15, I lost more than 12 pounds in this process and I m terrified. I m seeing and doctor next week but it doesn t help ether I don t eat and get dizzy or I eat and I feel sick.
Stomach ache after eating can be from small gastric ulcer or gastritis like infective condition. For that, fasting is not needed.
Take semisolid diet more and fruit juice more, even mashed potato also can be consumed. Drink lots of water to maintain hydration.
Vital Z like electrolyte-containing powder also can be taken with water and avoid excess spicy foods. Rabeprazole drug once a day for a week can be prescribed.
If still no improvement, then USG (Ultrasonography) abdomen scan be done and antibiotic course prescribed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
