I am 69 year old male with history of inflammatory bowl disease but last few years no problems other than attack of diverticulitis 3 months ago. Today have mucous farts with traces of light red blood and one small clotty thing. I am travelling overseas but have Flagyl and Augmentin Duo Forte antibiotics. Won t beyond for Three weeks. Suggestions? Thanks
Since you have stomach infection at present, you are suggested to visit a GP, get physically examined & treated before you travel.
Flagyl & augmentin should work effectively in case of any emergency. You can also take a course of Cephalosporin if needed. You can keep antacids & PPI's in case you need it.
ake boiled food to stay at a safer side. Avoid oily, junk & packaged food.
