Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 40 year old daughter has been diagnosed with e-coli she has been to 2 doctors tried two strong antibiotics is now ea in brown rice and bone broth sweet potatoes and eggs that seems to help the stomach pain and diarrhea She is not sure who else to see or where to go from here she has had this problem since June
Hello and welcome. I understand your concerns. She should do first the stool testing to see what kind of e coli is causing it. if this is some resistant type then specific antibiotics may have been used. Also, she should have probiotics and dietary changes to fecover bowel flora. If there is no improvement, she should do colonoscopy to rule out some other possible causes of her difficulties. Wish you good health. Kindly regards.
