How Can Stomach Infection In An Infant Be Treated?
My baby is 25days old. He was 2.330wt at time of delivery and now 2.550. He is goinf throgh loose motion which is green in color sometimes greenish yellow with white particles and also with mucus. His stool test is showing 10-15 r.b.c count and pus cells count is 2-3/h.p.f. semi liquid reaction acidic. Reducing sugar present 0.5gm%. He is very weak. The later wt he has gained after taking walamycin with z&d and floratact. And his stool culture report is normal. But now also he is passing same stool. But doctor has stopped all med bcoz he is gaining wt. Plz suggest is everything going well ?
Look if the baby is passing 6-8 Stool in a day & there is no sign of dehydration present.
Then it's normal only. I would like to suggest you monitor that if the baby is feeding well. No excessive cry & no fever then just relax. Everything is fine.
If any of the above symptoms appear then you need to consult your doctor. As of now you the mother needs to have a proper diet on time to ensure proper milk production.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
