Hi,
Anosmia commonly occurs when you have a sinus problem, some growth or polyp inside the nose,
injury, inhalation of toxic chemicals, use of cocaine, nutritious deficiencies, damage to the nerves or simply
allergy.
You should first get physically examined by an
ENT specialist & get all investigations (CBC, X-Ray PNS, CT /MRI) done to rule out any pathology that is causing anosmia & gets treated.
If there is a polyp, a minor surgery can do well the cause, sinus can be treated with medications.
You can see a
Neurologist if you have no nasal pathology, get all nerve function tests done & take the treatment suggested.
However, in the meanwhile do not take the left overs, avoid addiction if any, put smoke alarms at home.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
