How Can Sun Burn On The Legs Be Treated?

Hi, my daughter is 4 1/2 months pregnant and started on prednisone last Thursday. She went to Myrtle Beach on Sunday and was in the sun for 3 hrs and got a nasty burn on her legs. She came home from her trip on Wednesday and cannot work because of her legs. She tried today, but her legs turned purple, and green, almost black. She will not work tomorrow. She stands all day being a hair stylist. Today her knees are bubbly and orange with some weeping. She went to the doctor and was told to use Vaseline and had to get special pads. Do you have any better ideas?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As the first line of management, you can apply topical low potency steroid creams like betamethasone after cleaning with water. If the lesion persists better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
