Hello, My son got a sunburn on his arms. His arms are red and we have applied aloe and he has taken several showers to relieve the pain. It has been 2 days already and he says he feels itchy. I told him that he needs to moisturize with aloe. He has but he continues to feel a terrible itchy feeling and he cannot stand it. I have even given him Benedryl and he still doesn t feel better. What else can I do?
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Yes, you did good by now and only tim eis required for symptoms to subside. It is recommended: Place a cool compress on sunburned skin for immediate sunburn relief. Take a cool shower or bath to cool your sunburned skin. Use lotions that contain aloe Vera to soothe and moisturize sunburnt skin. Also, you can have ibuprofen 400mg for pain or fever if occurs. Also it is important to drink lots of water, juice, or sports drinks to prevent dehydration.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
