How Can Swallowing Difficulty In An Elderly Person Be Treated?
my motherinlaw had her esophgas stretched years ago and thinks she needs it again? She is 81 years old. We aren t sure why she thinks she needs it done again, she doesn t claim to have any problems swallowing? Just wonderingwhat your thoughts are on this
Esophageal dilatation may be needed, if there is narrowing of esophagus causing difficulties in swallowing. If there is no swallowing difficulty there is no need to do it until otherwise asked by doctor.
Hope I have answered your query.
