How Can Swelling And Inflammation On The Foot Be Treated?
I stepped on a mesquite thorn last evening and it is slightly swollen and a bit red. I treated it with Hydrogen Peroxide and neosporin and kept a bandaid over it. It has been about 18 hours since I stepped on the thorn. Should I expect this to pass or is there a more radical medical approach?

Some advices that I can give to you are:
-rest
-use ice packs
-wrap the foot or ankle with compression bandage, and elevate the foot on a stool or pillow.
If swelling and pain is severe or doesn't improve with home treatment, see your doctor.
