How Can Swelling And Pain In The Testicles Be Treated?
My brother had a heart cath done last Tuesday. They nicked the artery and he had a very bad time. He had to be shocked twice and almost did not make it. Now his testicle is swollen to the size of a cantaloupe and he is having extreme pain. What measures should they be taking to reduce the swelling and dissipate the pain? He is still in CCU but was moved Sunday from ICU.
Probably penoscrotal hematoma after the angiogram. Hematoma is unusual after CC but may result from arterial injury or bleeding into the fascial planes. Majority of patients require observation but surgery indicated in selected cases for vascular complications. Please follow your doctor advice he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
