How Can Swelling In The Ankles And Knees Be Treated?

i have an tight right achileas heel. it feels like i have a wire running down me heel. I have had some swelling in both the ankle and the knee after excerise last couple of weeks. now my heel is to tight to run. walking fine but not able to do much more. Any idea?

hi sir/mam,your symptoms point at achilles tendon pathology which is common in athletes or in whom physical activity is more.most important is that whenever you have pain,rest the joint.if you over do,the pain increases and the disease may also aggravate.you might be suffering from any of the following conditions :achilles tendinosis,paratenonitis,achilles bursitis,achilles tendon rupture.only with a thorough examination by an orthopedician,diagnosis can be confirmed.for pain relief,NSAIDs like aceclofenac can be used twice daily.avoid strenous activities.if any other queries,i'm happy to help.thank you.take care.bye.
