How Can Swelling In The Ankles And Toes Be Treated?
Hello I m tj and i jumped off a fence and on landing my ankle rolled and popped, it s now swelling, can stand on it but not on toes and can t walk normally, it s a struggle to walk on. And have been getting feverish chills when moving in certain ways.
Hello, Thanks for the query. It could be due to minor contusions and tendon or ligament injury. You can apply ice packs and take anti inflammatory combinations like acetaminophen/seratiopeptidase for pain relief and for reducing the swelling. Take adequate rest and elevate the affected foot over a pillow. Generally the symptoms will subside in couple of days. If the pain and swelling persist for long, you have to consult an orthopaedician and get an MRI scan done to look for any tendon involvement or a thin hairline fracture. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
