How Can Swelling In The Knees And Bruising On The Leg Be Treated?
hi I had an accident a week and 2 days ago and I have internall bleeding and hemoraging in the joint of my right knee, I went to an orthopedic center and they gave me instructions not to put pressure on it and an air cast for my broken leg exc... as of now my knee is still about half as swollen as it was an now my whole leg is bruised but my knee is always warm no matter how cold my body gets. And where the knee is hard in spots its lumpy is there any thing I should be worried about? the orthopedic center said nothing was broke according to the ctscan but we had to wait for the swelling to go down and the bleeding to stop?
It is good news that nothing is broken so you have only bruising and swelling due to trauma.
I can advise you to use ice packages on it, take anti-inflammatory drugs such as Advil or Naproxen for pain and swelling. You will get well soon as the body absorbs the hematoma.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
